The Pride In The Park: One Heart, One Love, and One Pride festival took place on June 25th, 2023 in Druid Lake Park, Baltimore, MD, It brought the LGBTQ+ community closer together with the spirit of music, food, art, and culture. Numerous vendors with arts, clothing, food, and jewelry showcased their talents. Educational and advocacy groups help spread the word about their cause.

One organization set out to make a difference Free State Justice, a nonprofit, making the lives of the LGBTQ+ community as enriching as possible, and strengthening the connection between members focusing on helping LGBTQ+ Marylanders through legal challenges Legal intern, Oliver Santos had these remarks about how you can show your support, “There are so many ways to get involved, and it really does matter. Every single person who makes one phone call, writes one letter, testifies on one bill, marches in one parade, donates to one cause, or volunteers at one outreach event makes an impact, and we need everybody working together to stand up against the injustice that we are facing.”

As I was walking around I could just feel the positive energy and love in the air. Everybody I spoke to was having an amazing time. Rebecca Williams, has attended the event for the last eight years, upon moving to Baltimore. After attending her first Pride event she found her sense of fellowship at the festival and credits the community for giving her the strength to become publicly open as a lesbian, especially being raised Catholic in a small town. "Growing up in a strong Catholic family, it was not easy for her to find spiritual acceptance in regards to my sexuality. It was nice to see my church, St. Matthews, there at the festival. It means alot to finally feel the sense of spiritual guidance and acceptance my heart was seeking and it think it had a large impact on the community,”she stated.

Hey pride in the park 2023 was a huge success. Members of the community along with allies spent the day supporting, educating, and loving one another, enj0ying the beautiful weather with charm city vibe that only Baltimore can bring,
